TOPICOS
Los tópicos incluyen contribuciones relacionadas con la fauna marina del océano PacÃfico, en particular aquella del PacÃfico Este. Se considerarán notas cortas (1-5 páginas impresas), artÃculos, guÃas, catálogos en Español o en Inglés.
ESTRUCTURA DE LAS CONTRIBUCIONES
Texto en Times New Roman 12, incluyendo los encabezados y sub-encabezados. Los párrafos se separarán con una lÃnea en blanco, justificados a la derecha, sin uso del tabulador. Texto con espacios de 1.5 lÃneas.
ESTILO
Todos las palabras en Times New Roman 12; no usar negritas, itálicas (cursivas) en los encabezados o en el texto (véase abajo); mayúsculas solamente en el caso de palabras que inician una frase o que usan mayúsculas.
ITALICAS
Debe usarse solamente en el caso de los nombres latinos de géneros o especies. De ser necesario, otras itálicas serán utilizadas por la oficina editorial. Incluir la autoridad y el año de descripción de las especies cuando se cita por primera vez. No citar (referencia) la autoridad si no aparece citada en otra parte del texto. Poner atención en no usar itálicas para las comas o los paréntesis en caso de especies con nueva combinación.
La información en los artÃculos y monografÃas seguirá la secuencia clásica (véase abajo). En el caso de notas cortas, catálogos o guÃas, favor de consultar la oficina editorial:

CUADROS
Los CUADROS (numerados 1, 2, 3, etc .) deben ser enviados en archivos separados, un cuadro por archivo. Si están disponible, enviar también los archivos en Excel.
FIGURAS
Las figuras deben ser de buena calidad y disponibles en archivos JPG o TIFF; sin embargo estos se solicitarán una vez que el manuscrito esta aceptado. Enviar las figuras en un archivo PDF al someter el manuscrito (todas en un solo archivo, con los pies de figuras en cada figura; una sola figura por página).
REVISION
Todas las contribuciones serán revisadas por al menos dos árbitros, uno podrá ser uno de los editores asociados. Las notas cortas y los artÃculos regulares se revisarán en un plazo máximo de 30 dÃas hábiles después de su recepción. Las monografÃas se revisarán en un máximo de 60 dÃas hábiles, salvo en el caso de manuscritos particularmente largos.
PRUEBAS DE GALERA (PG)
Después de haber sido aceptada en su versión final, se proporcionará unas PG al autor de correspondencia para su revisión y tendrá que ser regresadas al editor en máximo 5 dÃas hábiles (10 para monografÃas). Al ser aprobada, la versión final será disponible en formato PDF máximo 10 dÃas hábiles (15 para monografÃas) después de recibir las PG de regreso.
DISTRIBUCION Y DISPONIBILIDAD
Los autores de cada contribución podrán compartir los PDFs de sus trabajos, subirlos en sus páginas institucionales o privadas, o en cualquier sitio (e.g., Research Gate) sin costo. Sin embargo, no podrán realizar negocios o obtener ganancias de cualquier tipo utilizando estos documentos. Los PDFs definitivos no podrán ser modificados por los autores. Geomare Zoologica mantendrá un sitio en internet donde todos los PDFs finales estarán disponibles en modalidad de "open access".
LITERATURA CITADA

TOPICS
Topics include contributions related to the marine fauna of the Pacific Ocean, with special emphasize on the eastern Pacific. Short notes (1-5 printed page), regular articles, guides, catalogues and monographs will be considered. Contributions in Spanish or English will be received.
CONTRIBUTION STRUCTURE
The text of each contribution will be presented in Times New Roman 12, including headings and sub-headings. Paragraphs will be separated by a blank line, right justified, without indent. Spacing 1.5.
STYLE
All characters in Times New Roman 12; do not use bold face, italics or upper case in the headings or in the text (but see below); upper case only for first word in sentences and names using an upper case first letter.
ITALICS
Should be used ONLY for Latin names of genera and species. If needed, other italics will be added by the editor. Include authority and year of description FIRST time a species is listed. Please be careful NOT to use italics for parenthesis and commas when a series of species is cited and includes new combinations.
The information in regular articles and monographs will follow this sequence (see below). For short note, catalogues and guides please consult the editorial board.

Tables should be included in separated files. An additional Excel file should be provide if available.
FIGURES
Figures should be of good quality and JPG or TIFF files will be requested for each figure once the manuscript has been accepted. However, figures submitted with the first manuscript should be included in a PDF file, in the sequence in which they are cited in the manuscript, and with the caption indicated below each figure. No more than one figure per page in the PDF.
REVIEW
All contributions will be reviewed by two referees. One of these could be the associated editor for a specific group. Reviews of short notes and regular articles will be available no longer than 30 working days after submission. Monographs will take between 30 and 60 working days, except in some cases due to the length of the manuscripts.
PROOFS
When a contribution is accepted in its final version, a PROOF version of it will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned to the editor office in maximum 10 working days. Once the proofs have been accepted by both sides, and except for special editing issues with the final manuscript, PDF of the final manuscript will be sent to the corresponding author after maximum 10-15 working days.
DISTRIBUTION AND AVAILABILITY
Authors will be free to share copies of the PDFs of their contributions, to upload these in their institutional or personal web page, and in any public web page (e.g., Research Gate) without cost. However, authors or their institution should not make any profits or charge a fee when uploading these PDFs. The only requirement is that PDFs should not be modified in any way. GEOMARE Zoologica will maintain a web page where all PDFs in their final form will be available as open access.

Page charges will be 12 US$ (or its equivalent in Mexican Pesos) per page, with a minimum charge of 30 US$. Large contributions including few figures might be entitled to a special discount (contact the editor). Invoice available at request.
